The Food Bank is for anyone in need of emergency food and groceries. Come see our NEW Location, where you are encouraged to shop for the foods you like. No more pre-packaged food packs, the choice is yours. (subject to availability and some restrictions)

  • Our NEW Food Bank schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 10:00am to 3pm. The Emergency Food Bank and Used Clothing Centre is now located at 875 Ouellette

  • We ask people to bring with them some identification, preferably with an address and some kind of income statement from the previous month.

  • We ask people to bring reusable bags to take home the food items they receive from the Food Bank.

How the Food Room operates

The Food Room operates as a hub for the generous quantities of food and miscellaneous products that come to the DTM through donations. The Food Room itself runs very similarly to a grocery store. Each product is checked and sorted and placed in the correct location. Volunteers are dedicated to keeping the shelves, clean, neat and well stocked. The food products found in the Food Room supply any food related needs of the DTM such as the lunch meal and Food Bank programs.
