Phoenix Participant

The Phoenix Recovery Program has been operational since 2016.  It addresses the needs and offers support to both men and women struggling with Addiction and working through their Recovery Journey.

Our program objectives are to help you initiate the recovery process and help participants understand the difficulties they may be having.  We provide intense therapy sessions focusing on grief counselling and trauma.  We are here to encourage continuous personal development and recovery both during the recovery journey and after the program’s success.

Intake Process

Our intake process is both simple and easy with no wait list and direct contact with our program coordinators. It is open to both men and women who are in need and you can join at any time, starting your recovery journey as quick as the next day.  Just simply email phoenixrecovery@downtownmission.com or call 519-973-5573 and ask to speak with John or Chris.

Program Paticipation

We offer a 12 week intensive recovery program that includes daily group sessions based on group needs and dynamics as well as one on one personalized therapy.  We offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and participation from various community organizations such as Cocaine Anonymous and SMART Recovery

Health Care & Additional Support

Our participants will gain access to healthcare through partnerships with local doctors and mental health clinics.  You will also receive assistance with housing and other social services.  Through the duration of our program we offer co-ed living accomodations subject to availability.  Participants who show commitment may receive individual rooms in our pod area.

Post Program Transition

When you have successfully completed your 12 week program you will be considered an alumni and are encouraged to continue meetings to stay on the path of success.   We offer support in finding employment or further education for those wishing to become addiction counsellors.  Alumni are also encouraged to return as peer support workers

I am grateful for my sobriety and the Phoenix program at the Mission because of the support I received. Thank you!
