Want to help? The work of The Downtown Mission depends on the generous contributions of people just like you. Use your hands, your heart, your creativity and talents to make a difference in the lives of people struggling with poverty and homelessness across Essex County.

Individuals

You don’t have to be with a group to make a big impact. We have opportunities for individuals with all levels of experience and skill. Come lend a hand and see just what a difference one person can make.

Groups

Interested in volunteering with your friends, school group, or service club? We can help organize an opportunity for your group to get involved.

Churches

If your church group is looking for a way to get involved, we’d love to help identify an opportunity to help or lend your strength to another through one of our many programs. We also value the opportunity to come visit you. We have a great story to tell. If you need a guest speaker, call us.
